Fitness Assessment
Fitness Assessments
Cardiovascular disease remains the number one cause of death in America. There is, however, a remarkably easy remedy. Physical activity continues to be the most effective way of combating coronary heart disease with substantial evidence that even low-to-moderate intensity activities such as walking, gardening, housework, and dancing done for as little as 30 minutes a day, brings benefits.
More vigorous aerobic activities, such as running, swimming, bicycling, roller skating and activities using a variety of exercise equipment are even more effective for improving the fitness of the heart and lungs. If you are physically fit, you are more likely to be free from illness, to function efficiently and effectively, to enjoy leisure, and to cope with emergencies, and can influence how alert you are and how you feel emotionally.
