Dr. Morris holds a BM degree from The North Carolina School of the Arts, an MM from The Boston Conservatory and a DMA from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Morris enjoys a multifaceted career as a concert violinist, chamber musician performing in the U.S. Europe, and Middle East, teacher, director and founder of The Young Eight String Octet, America’s only string octet comprised of distinguished African-American players from the nation’s prestigious music schools and conservatories.
