S.H.A.P.E. (Supervised Health And Personal Exercise) is a scientifically based, personally designed assessment that guides lifestyle choices to optimize your health and nurture a life-long enjoyment and commitment to exercise. Whether you want to hike in the mountains, function well at work, manage your weight, or reduce your risk for coronary heart disease, the assessment serves as the basis for a detailed exercise prescription to achieve health and wellness goals.
- Pre-Assessment Consultation (with nurse navigator)
The consultation reviews your health history, establishes fitness goals, and confirms specific issues of concern before testing begins. - Fitness Testing (with exercise physiologist)
Body Composition
Flexibility (Range of Motion)
Muscular Fitness
Aerobic Capacity (VO2 Max)
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) - Post-Assessment Consultation (with nurse navigator, performance director and medical director)
The consultation presents the results of the assessment and provides recommendations for injury prevention and training. - Exercise Prescription Walk-through (with exercise physiologist)
The walk-through is one-on-one session where an exercise physiologist further explains the prescribed fitness prescription, teaches them how to use the equipment and answers any remaining questions.
